Geoff and Katie's Wedding

This weekend we had the privilege to witness the marriage of our very good friends from Duluth, Geoff Vukelich and Katie Ross! I was the pregnant bridesmaid and Nick was an Usher. We had so much fun, and the wedding was beautiful!!!!!

Nursery Pictures

Just a few pictures of the nursery.  We are pretty much ready to go, just need a baby!

It's been too long!

Wow, haven't really followed through with my posts for the past few months.  Sorry!  

So just an update, as most of you know, or if you haven't heard, Nick was in a pretty bad car accident about 3 weeks ago. He was hit by a car that ran a red light at an intersection on his way to work. He had a very serious spleen injury (Grade 4 out of 5) and was hospitalized for about 4 days.  They were able to embolize the injured vessels in his spleen to stop the bleeding instead of removing it completely, which we are very thankful for.  So, he is doing pretty well, but the recovery has been slow.  After being at home for the past 3 weeks, he will be attempting to return to work at least on a part time basis, this Tuesday. We want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers and cards, during the past few weeks!  He still has a long road to recovery ahead, as he still has a very high risk of re-bleeding. The Doctor has him under a watchful eye and has put him under careful lifting restrictions so he is not able to be the normal, mountain biking, outdoorsy, active type of guy that he is for at least two more months. So, continued thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery would be much appreciated!

We were so blessed to have some our family members here (and of course the long distance support of those who couldn't be here)  after the accident, it would have been hard to deal with everything without them.  Thank you so much to all of you!!!

As for the baby and me, we are doing just fine!  He is a little "wild child" and I can't help but wonder what's in store for us when he is finally here - I think he is going to be a handful! Only 11 weeks to go!  Hopefully Nick's recovery will continue and it is our hope that by the time our little guy is here, he will be back into the swing of things!  God has definitely been watching over us, and we are so thankful!
