Happy Halloween!

Samuel Scott is 10 months old! He is crawling all over the place, he now has 4 teeth - two on top, two on the bottom. He is always happy! He loves to clap his hands and yell... a lot. He loves to look at books and at himself in the mirror. He loves goldfish (the crackers). And Mommy and Daddy really love it when he snuggles with us. Here are a few Halloween pictures to share....

Happy Birthday to me!

It is my 30th birthday today. I don't feel like I"m 30 - although who really knows what it's supposed to feel like anyway. Mainly I'm surprised at how fast the time has gone - what a great ride it has been. I cherish all of it - the ups and downs, because those experiences make me appreciate all that I have - A wonderful family, a beautiful baby boy, an awesome husband - and great friends! My life is truly blessed and I am so thankful!

I had a great weekend - we took a last minute trip up the shore of Lake Superior. Met up with my Mom and Dad who were spending a few days at Naniboujou lodge for their 40th (August 17th was the actual date). They didn't mind that we crashed their party - I asked first!

The weather was beautiful and the leaves on the trees were in all their fall glory! We met Mom and Dad z at the Naniboujou lodge last night and had a wonderful meal. This morning we went on a hike that I have been wanting to take since we have lived in northern MN - Devil's Kettle. It was awesome! Sam and Copper enjoyed themselves too!

At the end of Temperance River - we saw quite a few salmon in the water and Sam enjoyed tasting rocks!

9 months old!!!!

Our little man is 9 months old today! I can't believe it! We recently switched out his infant car seat for the bigger ones, lowered his crib mattress and have started child proofing the house. It won't be long before he is crawling. We let him play in the car seat box last night - he had a great time!

We enjoy every single day with him, and look forward to all of the days to come - we are so blessed!

8 months old

Sam has learned so many things in the past month: clapping his hands, clicking his tongue, saying Ma Ma and shaking his head "no" - not sure if that is such a good thing.... but its awfully cute! He is so close to crawling, he manages to move around the floor a little bit - we are going to have to watch him! Not really looking forward to baby-proofing the house, our days of a stationary baby are almost gone!

Our friends Brian and Melissa from Washington came to visit us for a quick weekend - it was so nice to see them again! We had a picnic and walked around Canal park, went out to dinner at The Brewhouse - YUM! Then on Sunday we all headed to the Twin Cities - The Konings to catch their flight home, and us to take Sam to his first, and probably last, Twins game at the Metrodome.

He didn't make it through the whole game, and I don't blame him - the Twinkies played pretty poorly that day.

Swinging - one of his favorite things to do! Almost every day at Daycare when I pick him up he is in the swing, and all the other kids like to take turns pushing him. If they stop - he gets mad and does a little "bobbing" motion to try to get himself going again - so cute!

Sam was just being silly in these pictures. He has really started to interact with us, he likes to make us laugh and react to his silliness.

We are blessed to have such a wonderful, happy and content, silly, amazing little boy. We love him so much!
