Tulsa, OK

We were in Oklahoma last weekend for Nick's cousin's wedding. Jennifer Shilman married Casey Petty on April 18 in Tulsa, OK. We were happy that we could be there for their special day! It was nice to see family. I finally got to meet Amy, the oldest sister of the Oklahoma Shilmans! Nicks parents and Nate, Angie and their boys were able to make it as well.

Once again, Sam proved to be a very relaxed flyer. He did very well the whole trip. We were able to fly standby from Minneapolis to Tulsa, which allowed us to arrive about 4 hours sooner than if we had left on our original flight. We got there in time to wind down from the long day of travel, freshen up and get together with the ND Shilmans before heading to the rehearsal dinner.

Overall we had a great time, it was a beautiful wedding! Congratulations Casey and Jennifer!

We didn't fly out until Monday morning, so we spend all day Sunday with a brunch at Nicks Aunt and Uncle's home. Then in the afternoon we were able to spend time with Carrie and Andy, and Jennifer and Casey.

We spent Easter in Baxter with my parents, Erich, Ros and the girls. Leigh was able to take some time out of her busy schedule and spend Saturday night with us. We had a great dinner of deep fried turkey (one of my favorites), cherry coke jello (another one of my favorites) and cheesy potatoes (yet another favorite). So basically, it was my favorite meal of all time!
Sam got some good loot from the Bunny - some MN Twins stuff for the littlest #1 Twins Fan (his Dad is the biggest #1 Twins Fan).

He's Got Mommy's Eyes!

I took Sam up to Lens Crafters to have Nick check his eyes out last Sunday. Everything is on track so far! Hopefully he will end up with my perfect (almost) vision!


Also, we went to JCP to have Sam's 3 month pictures taken. I had planned for Us to be in a picture with him, but it didn't work out so well. I didn't realize the whole right side of my face would be numb from the dentist appointment I had earlier that morning. So we improvised and came up with this picture - not too bad, but not really what I was looking for.

My first week back at work went pretty well. It was very busy, so that helped to keep my mind on task. The first few days were pretty hard. We have an awesome daycare provider so that helps!

Sam has been talking so much the past few weeks, I keep taking short video clips thinking every time he says a little bit more, a little different every time. But then I look back at all the clips and realize they are all pretty much the same! It's hard to be selective, but I'm going to try a little harder, otherwise we are going to have hours and hours of the same thing! So I thought I would give our iMovie application on our new Mac a try. I had no idea what I was doing, but I'll probably figure it out the more I monkey around with it.
