Shilmans Up North: December 2008

December 19th has come and gone, so I am officially 1 week past my EDD! Oh well, I'm still feeling pretty good, not too much to complain about! We had a great Christmas here in Duluth with Nicks parents visiting from Bismarck, ND. We have had quite a bit of snow here lately and are on track to top the all time record of the snowiest December since 1845! Approximately 40 inches have fallen this month!

Here's a little update on the pregnancy. The baby is supposed to be "big" (estimated to be around 9lb 7oz last week on ultrasound - of course this is not always completely accurate!) so if there is no baby by this weekend, Nick and I will head to the hospital on Monday am to be induced. They have already tried to get things started last week using prostaglandin gel (twice), but obviously it didn't work. So hopefully my body will be a little more cooperative this time!

So we are anxiously passing the days until Monday, trying to keep busy. We went shopping today and did a little bit of walking. Then played board games for about 6 hours with Nick's parents! I am officially done with work until March so that is kind of nice - knowing I don't have to worry about going back on Monday.
